Uwala Abaka Town in Nsukka, Igboetiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, enveloped sorrow and grief as the community bid farewell to one of their prominent sons, actor Junior Pope.

The funeral rites commenced at 10 am with a commendation mass at St. Peter’s Catholic Parish, Ukehe. They laid Pope’s body to rest at his fathers compound. This allowed family members, friends, colleagues and well-wishers to pay their last respects. Subsequently, they moved the body to a private venue for burial at around 1:30 pm.
Emotional Farewell
The late actor’s wife, Jennifer Awele, was overcome with emotion and seen weeping profusely at the commencement of the final funeral procession. Their first son tenderly wiped away her tears as she broke down in grief.
